Happy March Everyone!

I'm very glad to unveil this all new Newsletter to all of you; it's not only "all new" based on the HOT NEW designs I have to offer but it's also "all new" based on the design of the newsletter itself as well as my entire website! In this edition of Birdman's Designs newsletter, I'm going to unveil a brand new idea I've come up with called "Blast from the Past!". What is "Blast from the Past!" you ask? It's an idea I've been throwing around lately where I place a couple of designs I've created over the last 5 years into the newsletter along the sides; they'll feature a picture of the design as well as a description and how you can purchase them. You could call it a bit of Birdman Retro wear! I spent the last few weeks updating my website, tweaking pages and coding to give it a more interactive feel to my viewers so please check out the entire website & let me know what you think of the new layouts.

EGYPTIAN

I have several HOT BRAND NEW DESIGNS to unveil to you this month for my fellow Egyptian lovers out there! These are going to be perfect for starting your spring and summer wardrobe as well as wonderful items to decorate your home & office to give it more of your own touch!

This very stylish golden Ankh design has a wonderful matching golden swirl background as well as the name of the symbol in bold, beveled letters that gives an extra touch of class. I'm very pleased this month to bring you a BRAND NEW ANKH DESIGN! I call this design "Ankh Swirl" and as the name suggests this is exactly what it means. The Ankh was the original cross which the Christians later took and turned into the cross everyone's familiar with now but the Ankh also symbolized life and indeed the word itself literally means "life". This wonderful NEW Ankh features a golden raised ankh with various hieroglyphs burned into it giving it an almost camouflage look to it; towards the bottom of the leg is a gaping hole that's shooting out a spiral of red-metallic ankhs! Whether you need new clothes, a new mouse pad or a new mug or bpa-free water bottle, you'll find this wonderful design on all of these types of merchandise & much much more!

Time to unveil the first of several BRAND NEW EGYPTIAN DESIGNS that are going to be all the rage this year! Everyone loves 3-dimensional art & designs right? Of course they do! I went with this idea and took it to a different level by drawing the Egyptian hieroglyphs for several of the deities I create. The first in my new series is a 3D image of the god Anubis. "Anubis 3D" features a silver outlined Anubis hieroglyph with electric blue & black camouflage colors inside of him! In front of him I wrote his name in an Egyptian style font that has also been 3-dimensionalized with images of him inside his name to give it a special touch that really pops out! Naturally, I've placed Anubis 3D in all of my stores and this HOT DESIGN is available in a bunch of great styles & colors including red, purple, several shades of blue to choose from & so much more! You're sure to find a style & color to suit you and your entire family! Add a wonderful set of stackable mugs or bpa-free re-usable water bottle and you can take Anubis anywhere you go; purchase an Anubis 3D mouse pad and you can even have Egypt in your office!

Next in my list of BRAND NEW DESIGNS features a 3D rendition of Bast- the Egyptian cat goddess. Although she wasn't actually depicted with a cat's head until around 1000B.C.; before that she was only depicted with the head of a lioness to show her fiercer traits. Bast was a very important deity; so important in fact, she had a city named after her which was also her main cult center- Per Bast; which the Greeks later renamed "Bubastis" and goes by the name of "Tell-Basta" today. It's too bad that most of the ancient city was destroyed including most of the monuments and buildings so there isn't too much there today that was there in the original city but recently a very large cat statue was found that was of Bast so perhaps more shall come to light over the next few years. As the Egyptians know, the desert sands unveil things in their own special way! I call this BRAND NEW design "Bast 3D" & it features the hieroglyph for Bast where she is holding a staff in one hand, the Ankh in the other hand and she has the sun disc & cobra above her head. Her background color is a wondrous pink & white, to the point where her background colors almost look like a reddish sky with clouds dispursed throughout! In front of the hieroglyph I wrote her name in 3-dimensional text with her image throughout each of the letters that comprise her name. Horus is next on my list of BRAND NEW DESIGNS! Horus was basically like the Egyptian version of "Jesus Christ" or more accurately, the Jesus story is based on the Egyptian god Horus because they have many similarities in their stories including how important both of their mothers were to their various religions. Horus was so important in fact, that a good deal of the Pharaohs used Horus in their king names. Horus 3D is a stylish silver hieroglyph with a white & gray background that almost appears to be marble. In front of the hieroglyph I wrote his name in 3-dimensional text with his image in each of the letters for his name. You can get this HOT design on many wonderful shirt selections including organic cotton, organic colored cotton long sleeve shirts, hoodies & so much more for yourself and to give as a terrific present! With spring just around the corner, start getting this great design on any number of stylish t-shirts as well- from cap sleeve shirts to ringer T's, organic cotton shirts & much much more!

The Egyptian god Set/Seth was a very interesting deity. He had dual-sides to his personality; he could be either benevolent or represent "evil" but one of the things that has always fascinated me about him is to this day we still don't know exactly what animal or animals made him up! Set was depicted as either an animal with four legs, a curving snout, long ears and an erect tail, or as a human with an animal´s head. Which kind of animal this was has been subject to much debate. His skin was white and his hair red, he was called the god of chaos, of thunder and storms, of destruction and of the desert. Just like one of his titles- the god of Chaos, the worship or acknowledgement of Set was also very different, depending on which time period one is looking at, who's ruling the country, etc. You can get this most fascinating & complex Egyptian deity as a wonderfully stylish 3D design! I like to call the newest Set design "Set 3D" and he is a silver-lined hieroglyph drawing with red camouflage coloring in the background; in front, I have his name spelled out in 3-dimensional font with his image inside each letter!

My final BRAND NEW EGYPTIAN DESIGN features the god Thoth in 3D splendor! Thoth was always seen as a wise deity; in fact, in one Egyptian story, it was Thoth who helped set things right between Horus & Set! Thoth 3D has the god Thoth in a silver 3-D hieroglyphic form where he's writing on papyrus & has the combined image for the papyrus leaf as well as the crescent moon; since Thoth was the god of the Moon as well as scribes & writing, this seemed like a perfect fit. In the background I've given Thoth the serene blue & white colors and his name is in front of him in 3-D splendor complete with his image in each letter! Women, children & men of all ages will love to wear this awesome design on any number of terrific shirts as well as a cool mouse pad and also a ton of wonderful drink ware items including coffee mugs, steins, stackable coffee mugs & even bpa-free re-usable water bottles so you can take Thoth with you anywhere you wish!

Cats are wonderful animals; they always have an inquisitive look on their faces and when you look into their eyes, you can almost see your own soul can't you? Humans have had many ideas about cats over the thousands of years we've roamed the planet; sometimes, those ideas were good including how the ancient Egyptians revered cats for example; sometimes however, the ideas humans have had have been quite dark including the ridiculous notion that black cats are evil or symbols of satan, etc. The Celts never really revered cats but they did figure quite a bit into their mythology including a cat which guards the gates to the Otherworld; a cat who is able to shapeshift into a fireball and many more stories! This BRAND NEW CELTIC KNOT DESIGN incorporates the positive aspect of cats! "Celt Cats" features a circle of Celtic knotted cats that is inside of another circle made of intricate Celtic knots & inside the cat's circle is a triquetra which figures so prominantly in many Celtic knots over the eons. Celtic art lovers & cat lovers will love to wear this wonderful design on any number of great looking shirts that are available for men, women & children of all ages! Iron cross merchandise has been red hot in the past couple of years & to keep those fires burning I've created another BRAND NEW Iron cross design that is sure to be a huge success this spring & summer! I call this design "Iron Cross 3D" & as you can see, the name is quite appropriate. Iron Cross 3D has a multi-blue shade center cross that's placed on a red & black iron cross below it & both are atop a cool golden beveled back & in the background is a multi-blue ray-type background that compliments the cross very well.
